Like many Suiko synths, the ST-40 embraces traditional Japanese instruments. It is a Koto synth with scale, and was originally made for practicing Shigin, Haiku, Waka, Kansh and Gin-ei, one of the Japanese traditional recitational arts.
It has a built in speaker with two selectable sounds, tempo, and rhythm. It came in a little leather case and can be powered with either battery or 9V.
