Syd Mead, designer of the original Light Cycle among many other amazing works, was brought back to the world of Tron to create a fresh new design for a fresh new installment in the franchise;
the Super Light Cycle! Floaty bits, transparency, radical blue lightning effects, and no canopy all coming together to make one awesome design.
This would later be re-used in the Kingdom Hearts series as Sora’s Light Cycle.
