Cunningham C-5R, 1953. Created by Phil Walters and Briggs Cunningham specifically to win the 1953 Le Mans race, the C-5R was powered by a 310hp Chrysler 331ci V8 engine. Though it recorded the fastest kilometre at Le Mans that year at 154.81mph it failed to beat the winning Jaguar C-Types coming 3rd overall
