* Equipo Crónica was an artistic group founded in 1964 by three Valencian painters, based on the proposals of the historian Tomás Llorens Serra.1 Its members were Manolo Valdés (1942), Rafael Solbes (1940-1981) and Juan Antonio Toledo (1940- 1995) although the latter soon left the group. Together they signed a manifesto written by the critic Vicente Aguilera Cerni2 in which the philosophy of the group is exposed.
