Despite what it may seem, this is not a snapshot of two runway models striking a pose in intriguingly futuristic garb. If you’ve followed our publication since our early beginnings, then you’ll recognize the work of Italian sculptor @aron_demetz, which we featured in our print magazine 7 years ago. His incredibly striking wooden figures make the most of Mother Nature’s natural grain and imperfections, yielding art that is texturally fascinating to lay your eyes on. It’s probably no surprise, then, that - when we compiled our 2018 list of today’s most compelling sculptors - he was included among the top tier.
