Miss Funicello accepted the Academy Juvenile Award, presented by Shirley Temple, on behalf of Hayley Mills, who received the miniaturized Oscar for her performance in Pollyanna (1960). She was the twelfth and final recipient of the award, which was first presented to Miss Temple in 1935.
